Moving forward

I was chatting to Jill Bonanno on our Simply Living segment during my 98.5 Sonshine FM morning programme yesterday about making mid year resolutions.

For those of us in Australia, today’s the first day of the financial year so I guess it’s as good a day as any to reassess our lives and look at making changes where needed. No matter where you are, today marks the first day of the second half of 2006.

Every day gives us an opportunity to start again but I think there can be something special about setting a new course on certain landmark days such us the start of a new year, the start of a new financial year or on a birthday.

What about you? Are you going to review the goals and resolutions you made at the start of the year? Are you prepared to put the broken resolutions behind you and start again? I just love the fact that what has happened in the past doesn’t have to decide the direction of our future.

  • I like what you said..what happened in the past doesn’t have to decide the direction of our future.
My resolutions have more to do with trying to spend less so that I can save..To this end, I have decided to record every dollar I spend..a bit tedious but at least I know where my money has gone..
