The mighty West Coast Eagles have made it to their second Grand Final against the Sydney Swans in two years. This Saturday they’ll be looking to turn the result around following last year’s narrow loss to the Swans.
If you’re one of the many thousands of Western Australians who won’t be heading across the Nullarbor to see the game live, you might like to take advantage of the big screen and big atmosphere down at Altone Park Leisure Centre in Beechboro. We’re hiring the room that we usually use for church on Sundays and turning it into a giant TV room.
Grab some nibblies and be there any time from 11:45 on Saturday to stake your claim on a spot in front of the game. There’s no charge but soft drinks will be on sale. Anything else you want to consume you can bring yourself.
All men, women and children will be welcome, even those wearing red and white.
Altone Park Leisure Centre is at 332 Benara Road in Beechboro. Get in touch if you need any more details.

Great idea Rod!
Go Swans 🙂
So Mark, are you coming down wearing red and white? 🙂
Ha ha
I get the feeling work is going to be very quiet on Saturday. Or maybe it will just be busy before and after the football.
We shall see I guess.
I am heading across the Nullabor but on Sunday, not Saturday with the Bike for Bibles crew. May get to catch the game with some of the gang though…
What’s really astonishing is the very real possibility that we could have Sydney winning the AFL the same year that Melbourne win the Rugby League (they are playing the Brisbane Broncos on that grand final). Now who would have picked that 20 years ago?
What would Jesus do?
