I must admit that I’m not feeling 100% today.
I’m not ill or coming down with anything, it’s more about the fact that both yesterday and today I haven’t been able to cycle to work. Pauline’s away on a school camp with Emily so I’ve had to drop James off and pick him after school up for the last couple of days.
It’s true when they say that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. I never realise just how good cycling makes me feel until I can’t do it. I simply haven’t felt as energized over the last two mornings and so I’m looking forward to getting back onto two wheels tomorrow morning.
The combination of some quality exexercise along with having those few moments to myself doing something I enjoy. I’d hate to have my life so ruled by routine that I’d have to follow the same pattern day after day but there are some things that are very beneficial and make life so much more enjoyable.
There’s the possibility of rain in the morning but that won’t stop me from recharging the batteries with a few kilometres on my treadly.
Are there routines that you find it hard to go without? What happens when you’re unable to do those things that make you feel ‘normal’?
