My regular Monday morning radio guest on 98.5 Sonshine FM is Joan Grosser from Growing Families Australia. Each week we chat about parenting issues and take talkback calls from listeners.
Over the last couple of weeks we’ve been going back to basics and looking at babies. Today we discussed getting babies into a routine, especially a sleeping routine.
One of the hardest things for new parents to adjust to is the lack of sleep that can come with a new addition to the family. If a baby starts to dictate the household routine everyone can end up feeling frazzled and stressed. A lot of parents don’t know that there are simple ways to help a baby develop a healthy routine. Healthy for baby, healthy for mum and healthy for the rest of the family.

Have you had to battle with a baby to get a routine happening? Have you spent sleepless nights with a baby or were you able to settle into a routine that helped the whole family get required rest? If you’ve had kids I’d love to hear how it was for you. Just leave a few details in the comments section of this post.

Yep, I’ve battled. I’m managed to get my daughter to self settle at night but not during the day.
I just love that photo!
Man, oh man, that is the Million Dollar Question. Been asked ever since Eve gave birth.
