Some random disconnected thoughts

A week or so ago I overheard a fragment of a conversation while in a department store. A young lady was telling an older lady that she had never been all that close to her mother. I would guess that the young lady was around 9 years of age. I found that incredibly sad.

While driving my family today, a small truck pulled out of a shopping centre and cut in front of us. It came dangerously close to our car. As it passed I noticed a sticker on the back of the vehicle stating that ‘Only Idiots Cut in Front of Trucks’.

Beware of supermarkets on a Saturday afternoon. We needed to pick up a few bits and pieces so we dropped in to shop. I was pushing our trolley (shopping cart) slowly through the busy crowd of shoppers until we turned the corner into the last aisle of the supermarket and stopped. The cheese section was totally gridlocked.

If you tread on a prickle of any sort and part of it lodges inside your foot, try to have the offending item removed as soon as possible. If you leave it for a few days it can be very painful when your wife takes to your foot with a pair of tweezers and tries to remove it.
