Give Peace a Chance

Jarrod McKenna is a nonviolence trainer for activists, students and whoever else will listen who shares the gospel of a nonviolent messiah. He was recently awarded the Donald Groom Peace Fellowship by Quakers in Australia for his work in creating EPYC which stands for “Empowering Peacemakers in Your Community”. He’s involved in many other initiatives which ensures that he’s never short of something to do.

Is there always a non-violent option? If we refuse violence will those who use violence simply gain the upper hand?

We covered a lot of ground and tried to look at some of the big questions. We explored whether Christianity really promotes non-violence in all situations? If we believe that to be the case how do we the reconcile that with the religious right’s belief that George W. Bush is carrying out God’s will by taking his nation to war?

Can I really encourage you to take time out to listen to Jarrod. I believe that he will challenge you and give you plenty to think through.
