What's your passion?

Isn’t it great to see someone who is so passionate about something that it just oozes out of them?

I spent a large part of the weekend helping a friend of mine, Gary Suckling, with the street commentary for the Perth Criteriums cycle racing. While I was able to make a few informed comments about cycling and cycle racing, he knew all the riders, all the tactics, just everything about everything to do with cycle racing.

Gary was a very competitive racer in his day and can still leave most riders in his dust.

Passion like that is a very powerful thing. You don’t have to ask if he loves cycling, it’s obvious in everything he does.

I wonder what your passion is. What is it that brings you to life?

  • What is really disheartening is the passion that is spent on the things that don’t last.

There are so many things in my life that I was truly passionate over, but all of those things I now count as a loss for the purpose of Christ’s gospel on this earth.

Nothing against a cycling passion. As long as it is not their greatest passion.
