Happy New Year

What does the new year hold?

I can’t imagine it will be quite as full as last year. When I looked back I thought about how I’d travelled in India and cycled across Australia. Nothing that huge planned this year but who knows?

I’ll have to set time aside to look at some goals for the year ahead. Maybe I can just fine tune last year’s. After all, many of last years are in new condition – hardly used.

What Drives Some People?

Driving along the coast today I saw a lady on a cycle path riding along. She was wearing a neck brace and had a large piece of PVC pipe mounted on the back of her bike to hold her caliper crutches.

I know some people who get a little sick and so they shut down on life. Then there are those, like this lady, who refuse to let anything top them. She quite obviously has health issues but she is still out there living.

I wonder which way I’d go if something serious happened to my health.

Good Bye CommentThis Comments

After a little internet searching it seems that I’m not alone in experiencing problems with CommentThis.

I think it’s time to cut my losses and go to haloscan.

If you know of any way that I can keep my previous comments, please let me know.

Save Your Comments

It seems that ‘commentthis’ is down again which means that when my blog loads it goes looking for all the comments stuff. It can’t find any so it doesn’t open the page.

Until they get things sorted I’ve taken the comments section off the page. If you have something to say, please drop by again tomorrow and things should be OK.

I’d like to simply switch to using ‘haloscan’ but then I’d lose all my previous comments. (If you know how I can transfer them across, please let me know.)

Hot Christmas

After seeing endless images of snowy Christmasses, we spent our Christmas afternoon in 33 degree heat splashing in our backyard pool.

Those people who have cold Christmasses don’t know what they’re missing. A BBQ for lunch, a nice long swim, what could be better?

Today is forcast to be even hotter so we’ll proabably be back in the pool at some stage.
