Thumbs Up! Edition Nine

I’m thrilled that there are bloggers who want to continue contributing something positive to the blogoshpere through Thumbs Up! Time for our ninth edition.

If this is the first you’ve heard of Thumbs Up! and you’re scratching your head wondering what it’s about you can read the details here.

If you want to see the idea spread, and you use Stumble Upon, can I ask that you click the Stumble Upon button at the bottom of this post? It’d be great to see more bloggers accentuating the positive. You might like to write a post on your blog promoting the idea too.

G Purtee presentsthe oddly titled post, Here I raise my Ebenezer, at his excellent blog BigDadGib.net. Most of the time Thumbs Up! post remind us of the good things that others have done. You’ll find that this post highlights the things that help us remember God’s faithfulness and goodness.

Always good to have a post from Romi at Romi’s Journal. This time she presents a post titles Annie which highlights a wonderful blogger with a gift of encouragement. Defenitely worth a read.

I love deano’s post this week. His post is titled Garry Coleman and before you say “What you talkin’ ’bout Willis” let me assure you it’s a very different Garry Coleman he’s talking about at My Jarrol Spot. This Garry’s a V8 Supercar Chaplain who has gained the respect and admiration of many in the motor racing industry.

I don’t think I’ve left anyone out but if you did post a submission this week and you can’t see it here, please email me so that I can add your post. If you missed out on being a part of Thumbs Up! this week, get posting now and submit for next week.

Who will you highlight?

The ninth edition of Thumbs Up! will be posted in a couple of days.

That means that submissions officially close at midnight Sunday, Western Australian time, so you can still get an entry in if you hurry.

You can find the Thumbs Up! criteria and code for the badges here. Remember that the easiest way to participate is to fill in the Thumbs Up! Blog Carnival submission form. Once you’ve entered the permalink URL of your post, the form fills in most of the details for you.

Submissions have been light over the past couple of weeks which means that your post has an even better chance of being read if you’re a part of this week’s Thumbs Up! I’m looking forward to posting the ninth edition on Monday morning.

Deano has been posting a Thumbs Up! again, presenting Prayerful Leading at his blog My Jarrol Spot. The post highlights a guy called Ian and the particular way that he leads others in prayer. I think a lot of people could learn from his style

Thumbs Up! Edition Six

I’m thrilled that there are bloggers who want to continue contributing something positive to the blogoshpere through Thumbs Up! Time for our sixth edition already.

If this is the first you’ve heard of Thumbs Up! and you’re scratching your head wondering what it’s about you can read the details here.

Iris has joined us this time with her Thumbs Up! post at Double Half highlighting another one of my favourite bloggers, Hann from Zingela.

Good to see Cindy Swanson taking part again with Thumbs Up! to A Chelsea Morning at her excellent blog Notes in the Key of Life.

Deano presents yet another reason to be positive with the post Just Scraping in a weekly Thumbs Up. highlighting his friend Tim and the excellent work of Mercy Ships at My Jarrol Spot. Deano always has great things to say and I particularly appreciate his efforts to post a Thumbs Up! post each week.

My Thumbs Up! this week goes to Evi from The Daily Soul. She is a young lady of just 16 from Greece who shows enormous maturity well beyond her years in her posts. I want to highlight her blog becuase I know that she has considered giving up blogging thinking that no one is reading her blog. She deserves a wider readership and I hope you’ll add her to your regular reads and encourage her to post more.

I don’t think I’ve left anyone out but if you did post a submission this week and you can’t see it here, please email me so that I can add your post. If you missed out on being a part of Thumbs Up! this week, get posting now and submit for next week.
