The Storage Industry

There will always be legitimate reasons for those big storage places but do we really need as many as we have?

There seems to so many of these lock ups springing up all over the place and it makes me wonder. Why do people need all that extra storage space? Is it because we keep buying more and more stuff that we’ll never use and we need somewhere to put it? Have we really bought into consumerism so much that we are now paying for space to hoard stuff? Do we rush out and get all the ‘must haves’ and then pay out again because all the ‘must haves’ from last year no longer fit into our homes. Our homes are getting bigger and there’s still not enough space for all the stuff that we accumulate.

Here’s a novel idea. Buy less stuff. Then we can save on the purchase price and on storage rental.
