Friday Five

This week’s Friday Five.

You have just won one million dollars:

1. Who do you call first?

My wife.

2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?

An Italian bicycle.

3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?

A new car for my wife.

4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?

Yes. Family, friends, church and a few selected ministries.

5. Do you invest any? If so, how?

Yes. Probably through a financial advisor. I have no idea how to invest money. If I did I wouldn’t have to win a million dollars.

  • I see. I have not been on bicycle in so long I would flop over and break my neck. I think I should stick to the sports car when I hit the ole mid-life crisis 😉

  • 1. Like you I’d call my wife, unless we are together when we find out. In that case I’d call my brother.

    2. A nice meal at a restaurant to celebrate the event with my family.

    3. Some jewelry for my wife.

    4. Yes. I’d tithe 10% or so to my church.

    5. Yes. I’d invest the vast majority in balanced mutual funds etc.

  • When I saw the question I was not sure if the “you” was a plural (in the US South that would be y’all) so including the wife is automatic, what with property rights and all.

In the responses that I have seen nobody has said anything about moving to a better house. People just don’t like to move if they can help it!
