I'm a Premium Member!!

I feel so important. I am now a premium member of Haloscan. Haloscan drives the comments section of my blog.

Why have I sent these people some money instead of staying with their free service?

The main reason is one brought up by Lionfish a couple of days ago in one of his comments. He noticed an advertisement on my comments section that he thought was innapropriate. The only way for me to stop innapropriate advertising was to throw a few dollars haloscan’s way. My comments section is now advertisement free.

The big benefit for you is that instead of the previous limit of 1000 characters when you’re posting a comment, you can now post up to 3000 characters.

I also get a few other added features.

I could have simply switched to blogger‘s new commenting system but I don’t really like it as much. Especially the fact that if someone is not a blogger member they can only leave anonymous comments.

So … now that I’ve upgraded my comments section … please use it. It’s great reading your comments so please keep them coming.

  • Hey Rodney,

Funny, I never noticed the advertisments…
I’m also a premium member of haloscan; I did that just days before blogger reopened with their comments feature. I wasn’t sure I liked it at first, but now I’m used to it.

    Blessings!

  • Hi there,

I thought I’d check in and see what has changed. Looks good to me!

I’ll be honest though, the adverts at the bottom of the free Haloscan have never bothered me before. I suppose that I am becoming used to internet advertising.
