Shrek 2

Emily turned 8 last Saturday, so to celebrate, we took her to see Shrek 2 on opening night (last night) at a local cinema.

It’s a very funny movie with the vocal talents of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy, Julie Andrews, Jennifer Saunders, John Cleese, Rupert Everett, Antonio Banderas and a bunch of other funny people.

There’s a lot more for the adults in the sequel than there was in the first Shrek but still more than enough for the kids.

Unfortunately a lot of the gags have already been played to death in the previews and advertising but there are still dozens and dozens of funny moments you won’t have seen.

  • I’m SO looking forward to seeing this movie! I loved the first one. It’s only opening in a few week’s time here, but you can be sure we’ll fork out the over-priced ticket amount and get ourselves good seats!

  • Thanks for the recommendation. I didn’t like the first one. but think I’ll take the kids to watch it over school holiday time.
Last holiday we went and watched a movie, and it was yukky. So this time I need to know first that it’s ok, not too much witchy stuff.
