Almost Perfect Weather

With more stunning weather across the weekend I really enjoyed getting out on my bike on Saturday.

There were about 10 of us altogether on the early morning ride which was topped off by a good coffee in Mt Lawley.

The problem at the moment is that while the days are just perfect, the early mornings are still quite chilly. It was under 10 degrees celsius when I left home around 6:30 on Saturday but I knew that it’d soon warm up so I chose to wear shorts and a short sleeved cycling jersey. Others were a little more dressed, putting the group into two camps. Those who started out cold and thawed out, and those who started out comfortable and ended up a little on the warm side.

Oh well, with another spectacular Perth spring well underway it’ll only be a couple of weeks until it’s perfect all day long.

  • I had planned to go for a ride myself today but figured everyone else would too so instead I took a walk. I love cycling, but I have to admit I do get a bit… self-conscience when there are other people cycling around me.

Your post has inspired me to ride to Joondalup one day and have a coffee. Good idea!
