My special guest this morning on Sonshine FM was investigative journalist and author John Pinkney who has written the book Greatest Mysteries of the Modern World.
The book looks at a huge range of mysteries without providing solutions. Most of what the book covers are instances that defy rigorous scientific investigation. It’s a collection of mysteries that will fascinate you and leave you scratching your head.
The only thing that we can really take out of the book in the way of solutions is that there’s a lot more to the world we live in than that which can be logically explained. There is more to life than what we see on the surface. Beyond the natural there is the supernatural.
The book looks at everything from unsolved murders to images of faces appearing on walls and floors. He even talks to people who have encountered UFOs. He says he doesn’t know what to make of UFOs himself, but he doesn’t doubt the integrity of the many dozens of people he has interviewed regarding their experiences.
I think it does us good to come to terms with the fact that there are some things that we cannot explain. We can come up with our theories but that is all that they remain.
