India's getting closer

I had a phone call a short time ago from a friend in NSW who will be joining me when I head to India in a couple of months.

He told me that he’s working right across Christmas but that he gets well and truly looked after financially for doing so. I’ve suggested that if that’s the case he can buy me a curry once we get to India.

I’m really looking forward to our trip, even though I don’t really know all that it will hold. As I’ve mentioned before, I visited India a couple of years ago together with a close friend to commence the work of Bike for Bibles in the Delhi region.

This time I’ll be leading a group of 9 Australians. We’ll be joined by around 20 or 30 locals on bikes as we cycle through a number of regions over about 10 days. I can’t wait.

You know what it’s like when you finally get to introduce two lots of good friends to each other? It’s a bit like that. I’m really looking forward to catching up with those we met last time … and of course enjoying some real curries.
