My 10 day detox diet continues.
I’m certainly finding enough variety in the foods I can eat and I’ve been able to avoid any cravings to this point.
If you’d like a closer look at the kinds of things I can and can’t eat, there’s a summary of the diet here on the Sonshine FM website. I must say though, there’s a lot more to the book than just a list of foods to eat and a list of foods not to eat. There’s some great wisdom about the reasons behind our choices of food and some very interesting information about some of our favourite treats. Philip also looks at the connection between body, soul and spirit in the book.
I miss sitting down to a coffee for the sake of it being a habit – but drinking green tea has pretty much fixed that for the moment. I guess the advantage of a diet like this as against many others is that you start to see results pretty quickly and knowing that it’s only for 10 days you can see some light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve already lost 4kg. I think the weight loss is slowing down but even if I only lose another couple of kilos I’ll be doing pretty well.

So you’re to blame…!!!
My wife heard about this on the radio – and wants us BOTH to do it…Grrr!
Hi Rodney!
I am glad to see you doing a detox diet. I did the same thing around Christmas time, but with a different method. My husband went the full 10 days but I only lasted for 7 days. I have now switched my diet around to what yours is describing, keeping mainly to a vegetarian diet, soy milk instead of cow’s milk and no processed wheat flour. I seem to be doing good so far!
This link talks about it but the book gives you better details..
