Vegetables?

I’ve been quite amused recently by the instructions on some of those cups of instant noodles. You know the polystyrene cups that contain noodles and a couple of sachets? You fill them with boiling water, cover them for a few minutes and then attempt to eat them.

At one point the instructions say to add the vegetable sachet. I think they’re being generous with their terminology. The sachet in mine had 6 peas, 4 pieces of corn and some very tiny reddish specks that I think used to be carrots. I wonder if they put them there to give us the illusion that it might be a healthy meal. I’m not fooled so easily. It’s quick, it’s easy, but it ain’t healthy.

  • hmm, I agree. Technically they’re “vegetables” but they definitely leave something to be desired.

In saying that they’d probably pass the ultimate vege test- most three year olds wouldn’t eat them
