New Life

We had a wonderful time on Saturday catching up with some friends. We dropped in at their home for a BBQ lunch.

It was our first opportunity to get together since they had a baby boy around 11 weeks ago. Liam is still quite small as you would expect for someone of that age but it’s a shame that we didn’t get to see him when he was a tiny, brand new baby. There’s something about young babies that is quite awe inspiring. Those tiny little fingers, little hands and feet, that total dependence on others.

I absolutely loved it when our kids were at that stage but I’m glad they’re not anymore. I suppose I’ve loved every stage that our two have gone through but I’m so happy that we don’t have to change nappies or hand feed them anymore.
