I had the most wonderful time last night.
We went to the home of some friends for an Indian night. The friends created a wonderful Indian meal and we brought along a borrowed video projector and several DVDs of my trips to India.
Video Producer, Mark Simpfendorfer, has put together a couple of wonderful, short clips. They give a quick overview of our trips within just a few minutes. People are always amazed at how much Mark is able to cram into the clips and just how good he is at editing. When I’m trying to give other people a glimpse of our trips, these clips are marvellous. Most people don’t want to sit through the many, many hours of video that we have of our trip, they prefer the short, sharp, taste of India that the clips give.
Last night was different. Our friends have links to India and so they wanted the lot. We sat watching several hours of video. By the time it got close to 11:00 p.m., James was asleep in their lounge room and Emily wasn’t far off. There was still plenty of video to watch but I had to get up early this morning for work and we thought we should go. I left a couple more DVDs with them to watch when they get the chance.
It was wonderful to find someone else who is as captivated by India as I am. In fact, in their case, they’re probably more in love with the country than I am. Up to this point they’re the first people that have wanted to sit down and watch endless video from our journey. I just loved being able to provide the videos and a bit of added commentary along the way.
If you’re in the Perth area and would like to see some of the trip on video, let me know. I’m sure we can arrange something. And I promise I won’t make you sit through hours of video if all you want to see is the 4 minute video clips.

HI Rodney,
I understand what you mean about finding people who share the same passion for something as you do. I’ve just got my website & blog up & running, but getting people excited about it as I am is the challenge. It’s all well & nice to have something to share with people, it’s finding the people who are interested is something else.

That is really awesome. Too bad Perth is so far away!
Rodney,
When are you going to post some of the video from your India Trip?
