Woo hoo, more time on the bike!!
My thoughts exactly. 🙂
I’m not sure what you’re referring to. It’s been Spring here in Queensland for around two months, and summer is only a month away!
I know how excited you must be. Here in Ohio, in the good ol’ USA, leaves are already starting to change. Fall is my favorite season, but it’s a love-hate relationship really, because it only means Winter is on its way….which I despise.
Okay, doesn’t spring officially start on September 21 (the vernal equinox–autumnal equinox in the northern hemisphere) or do you measure things differently from those of us in the US? Not trying to rain on your parade–I’m very happy you are looking forward to winter’s end–I know I do here in Minnesota! Perhaps I’m being overly technical….. but I am curious!
Hello Suzi
The seasons are very cooperative down under. 🙂
Summer runs from December to February.
Autumn runs from March to May.
Winter is from June to August.
Spring runs from September to November.
Today is officially the start of Spring. Yay!! 🙂
Yay! It’s September today, Michael is very excited becuase it’s likely that this will be the month our baby is born! It’s nice (for some reason!) to have a spring baby.
Spring!?! Technically by the calendar, but lets get real here!
For those who live outside of Perth – Rodney isn’t telling you that the overnight minimum here in Perth was 1.5 degrees celsius at 6.54am!
Welcome to what we’ll call “spring”. I hope the frost doesn’t get you :-0
Thanks for clearing up my calendar confusion. In Minnesota, the calendar says spring begins March 21, but you almost never see green grass till near the end of April. It can snow as early as late September, but we can have our warm “Indian summers” as well in September and October.
We have a saying here–if you don’t like the weather today–wait till tomorrow!
Enjoy spring!
