Ever have one of those satisfying days that leave you pleasantly tired? Nothing was going to stop me from sleeping last night.
I spent the morning in the hills of Perth at a church prayer and dreaming day. The afternoon was spent watching footy. We then had a wonderful evening with good friends.
We went to the rather upmarket McDonalds on Canning Highway in South Perth. We wanted somewhere that we could sit and chat while the kids could amuse themselves. After eating our McFood, our two and their three headed out to the McPlayground.
I ordered a couple of McCoffees at the McCafe, including a McDecaf Latte for Pauline and a large, McLong Black for myself. I didnโt realise that large would mean a cup so big I could have a bath in it.
The McWaitress brought the coffee out and placed it in front of me and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. Oh well, I thought, I’m not going to waste it. It was delicious.
We got home around 10:30 p.m. and I pottered around a while before heading to bed soon after 11:00. I had to be up for work at 5:00 a.m. today. I figured with that much caffeine running through my veins I’d just be staring at the ceiling for the next few hours.
Next thing I knew I was waking up just before 5 this morning. Mmm.

Do you think some of your friends would enjoy reading Come on in … the coffee's fine? Please use the buttons below to share the post. Thanks.
I like the down to earth family tone of your writing and the way you express such pleasure in every day things. Thanks for a good read and keep up the good work.
Thanks Paula – that’s a huge compliment. ๐
Hi Rodney, I found you through Blog Explosion and have enjoyed reading through your site. I’ll definitely be back to visit often. Especially on the nights when I have too much coffee way too late!

Next time I wanna go too… ๐
I like the new Chilli Quarter Pounders ๐
One of our friends had the Chilli Quarter Pounder. I forgot to ask him how it was.
I didn’t know if they had just made it hot or they had actually added some extra flavour.
I’ll have to give one a try.
Maybe they gave you decaf! What a blessing. I have a cut off time for caffeine or I’m up all night!
Peace…………
*chuckling* to myself …
so coffee is as good as a sleeping pill, is it? i don’t think it would work that way for me!
how’s the weather? getting cooler? ours is – highs of 17C or so … leaves are changing colour … a freshness in the air …
Our weather is just starting to warm up. The days are getting longer and summer is just around the corner. ๐
Sounds like a lovely day enjoying the simple pleasures of life…one of my favorite things to do ๐
Maybe McCoffee doesn’t actually contain coffee, and thus no caffiene? In the same way that McShakes apparently don’t contain milk.
