Come on in … the coffee's fine

Ever have one of those satisfying days that leave you pleasantly tired? Nothing was going to stop me from sleeping last night.

I spent the morning in the hills of Perth at a church prayer and dreaming day. The afternoon was spent watching footy. We then had a wonderful evening with good friends.

We went to the rather upmarket McDonalds on Canning Highway in South Perth. We wanted somewhere that we could sit and chat while the kids could amuse themselves. After eating our McFood, our two and their three headed out to the McPlayground.

I ordered a couple of McCoffees at the McCafe, including a McDecaf Latte for Pauline and a large, McLong Black for myself. I didnโ€™t realise that large would mean a cup so big I could have a bath in it.

The McWaitress brought the coffee out and placed it in front of me and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. Oh well, I thought, I’m not going to waste it. It was delicious.

We got home around 10:30 p.m. and I pottered around a while before heading to bed soon after 11:00. I had to be up for work at 5:00 a.m. today. I figured with that much caffeine running through my veins I’d just be staring at the ceiling for the next few hours.

Next thing I knew I was waking up just before 5 this morning. Mmm.
