Wonder foods

I see that British research is saying that we should eat more broccoli. Broccoli is one of several vegetables which could help to boost memory.

The findings have major implications for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease.

The extract that does the work on our memories can also be found in potatoes, oranges, apples and radishes but the best source is broccoli.

I should be OK because we eat a fair amount of broccoli.

It seems that they’re finding out more about what foods can help your health every day. I’m getting ahead of the game though. I’m going to start eating more chocolate because I’m sure that it won’t be long before they come up with research to say that it’s the new wonder food.

  • Hey Rodney,
Just a warning- just cause you eat broccoli, doesn’t mean that you won’t get alzheimer’s. It just decreases the chance that you won’t get it.
Just in case you were packing it away :).
Don’t get me wrong though, it’ll still do more good for you than a big mac combo.

  • I just read today that chocolate can reverse many of the negative effects of smoking. Of course, if you’re not a smoker that doesn’t help very much. I may take up smoking just so I can have an excuse to eat more chocolate!
