Steve Addison should be knighted.
He’s just tipped me off to the fact that Rev. Dr Martin Robinson will be visiting Australia for a number of one day conferences in February next year. The conferences are titled Planning to Plant – Key Steps in Preparing to Plant a New Church or Start a New Congregation. Grab the brochure here.
If you’ve heard him speak before you’ll be registering right away.
If you think you’ve heard the name before but not sure where, he’s widely quoted by a number of emerging church types. He’s done some very interesting research into church history and what the past can mean for our future.
He has written ten books on mission, especially in a western context. These include, Planting Tomorrow’s Churches Today (with Stuart Christine), The Faith of the Unbeliever, and Winning Hearts, Changing Minds.
His latest book is titled Planting Mission-Shaped Churches Today. He is currently the National Director for the UK ministry Together in Mission. He is coming to Australia at the invitation of Gospel Outreach Ministries.
If you can get to one of these one day conferences you will not be disappointed.
I had the privilege of driving him and his associate, Dr Colin Greene, around the south west of Western Australia some years back when we were all working for the Bible Society.
