Someone in Pennsylvania is having issues with their car.
The person in question is from Upper Darby and it seems their three year old Jaguar has a noise problem.
How do I know this? I was just checking my Sitemeter stats and noticed that someone had arrived here by entering the following into an online search engine.“i have a slight buzzing noise in my 2003 jaguar when i turn the car off is this normal”
As much as I’d like to help them I’ve got to admit that our household budget doesn’t stretch to owning a 2003 Jaguar. In fact, I suppose we’d have to own at least two or three of them to know whether it’s a normal thing for that model car. One could just be coincidence. We’d need a number of the cars to decide what is normal across the range.
I’m not sure why the search ended up at my blog but I’m sorry to say that it wouldn’t have been much use.
Do you sometimes check the search terms that take people to your blog? I’ve had some amazing searches end up at The Journey. Some I understand, others I don’t.
What’s the weirdest or funniest searches that have led people to your blog?

Just last week I saw that someone from Washington, D.C. visited me. Yikes! I’m probably in trouble…
Here’s couple I have had this month…
“what happened on 13th of november medium”
“adverts for snickers bars”
“five things that frustrate me”
The first one about the TV show Medium took them to a post about not using a Medium to find out about the future!
I’ve just rebuilt our website on a new server, and so lost all my old, interesting stats.
After a few days on the new server, there is no surprise to see that the most popular search phrase at the moment is ‘sitting ducks’.
How do you check the searches people have done which led them to your blog?
Hi Sarah, Some servers that host your blog have a section to check your web stats. On the stats there is usually a section that says “search phrases”.
just this morning i had one that said “all about lovin’you???” from a search engine in korea. it led them to a post that was just some random photos– didn’t even have those words in it. most of the stuff was in korean when i clicked on the webpage that led them to me so i couldn’t figure it out.
mountain goats hooves falling off is also a common search. i guess i’m not the only one who was trying to figure out if that was true or just a rumor started on the internet 8)
Hi Sarah, I use Sitemeter. You can go to http://www.sitemeter.com and sign up free. Seeing as you use Blogger it’ll install it automatically if follow the links.
If you click on the sitemeter logo at the bottom of my sidebar you’ll see some of the information that sitemeter can provide.
Classy about the Jaguar! I’ve had some curious ones before, usually attributed to past spelling errors, they’re escaping for the moment.
