Last Thursday evening the Australian Christian Lobby presented Make it Count, an opportunity for Australian Prime Minister, John Howard and Leader of the Opposition, Kevin Rudd to address Christian voters ahead of a Federal Election later this year.
98.5 Sonshine FM is hosting the audio of the event so if you missed it you can still hear what both sides of politics had to say about their policies in relation to Christian voters. One of these men will be elected as our Prime Minister for the next few years by the end of 2007 so it’s important that we hear what they have to say on a range of issues.
You can hear John Howard’s address here and Kevin Rudd’s here. Mr Howard’s question and answer session is here and Mr Rudd’s is here.
My regular Wednesday morning guest on 98.5 Sonshine FM is Ross Clifford who is the Principal of Morling College in New South Wales and current President of the Baptist Union of Australia. Each week we chat about a range of issues relating to spirituality and belief.
Ross was at the event and was to ask both men a question about Australia’s indigenous communities. Unfortunately time ran out before he had the opportunity.
Today Ross and I discussed how both men handled the opportunity and discussed the questions that didn’t get asked at the forum. You can hear our discussion by clicking here.
