And the answer is …

I mentioned last week that this blog has now been operating for over four years. Thanks to all those who passed on their congratulations and best wishes.

At the time I asked if you had any questions for me. I got a couple of bites so here goes.

Dave from Passion Australia asked where I got this email image that I use in my sidebar.

Try going to this Email Icon Generator page and entering your details. It’ll create the icon and then give you a URL to link to the image. I chose to save the image and then host it myself.

David from the very entertaining Staypuff had some very kind words to say and then asked, ” Do you ever go through patches where you find it difficult to think about different issues to post about?”

I guess I’m always on the lookout for things to post about but it still doesn’t always come easy. I suppose it helps that part of my job of working in radio is about finding subjects of interest to talk about. A lot of what I do on-air is reflected here on the blog but on top of that I do have the freedom to cover a much wider subject range here online. One of the main difficulties is finding subject matter that will appeal to a wide range of readers. Sometimes I can put a lot of effort into a post and get little or no response, then I can just throw something together quickly and I get a flood of comments. Thankfully it’s not always that way but it can be difficult.

To finish off, an interesting question from Keasty at Gra Nomad Wanderings. He says, “What are 3 things (maybe you can’t come up with 3) that you would like to do if you had the confidence that you couldn’t fail?”

Mmm. I guess one thing would be to spend more time in India helping people there towards a better life. If I couldn’t fail I guess I’d enter and win the Tour de France. If I couldn’t fail maybe I’d set myself an ambitious goal to read a whole lot more. Of course the interesting thing is that two out of those three would be possibilities if I really set my mind to it … and no, I don’t mean winning the Tour de France.

Again, thanks to everyone who takes the time to read my posts, whether daily, weekly or rarely. A huge thanks also to those who take them time to comment. You have no idea how encouraging it is to read your words, even if it’s just a simple, “Thanks for the post”.
