Every now and then I get to conduct a radio interview that I wish the whole world could hear. It’s not that I think I’m a great interviewer it’s more about giving the world the opportunity to hear from someone who is passionate about their mission in life.
This morning I had one of those interviews on 98.5 Sonshine FM.
I hope you’ll take the time to click on the audio player at the bottom of this post and listen. I’m sure you’ll be impressed with my guest.
From studying law to becoming a model, a singer and an actor, Mexican born Eduardo Verástegui has had a very interesting life.
Movie goers in Australia will soon see Eduardo playing the role of Jose in the award winning movie Bella.
Bella has won numerous awards and honours including the prestigious People’s Choice Awards at the Toronto Film Festival.
I’ve seen a preview DVD of the movie and it is absolutely beautiful. If you get the chance to see this movie … do it.
Eduardo joined me on the phone today to talk about Bella but there was much more to the conversation. He spoke of having integrity and refusing to compromise. It’s something he knows a lot about. He didn’t work for around four years becuase he refused to take acting roles that would stereotype Latinos.
It truly was a pleasure to be able to talk to Eduardo and to hear his passion for the projects he undertakes.
Do you think some of your friends would enjoy reading Eduardo Verástegui and Bella? Please use the buttons below to share the post. Thanks.
Ummm – I could not resist mentioning that this guy is HOT!
ha, I was thinking that, but I wasn’t going to say it out!
Anyway Rodney, where/when’s Bella going to be showing?
Oops, found the answer to my own question. It’s being released 21st Feb by Hoyts. Here’s a link, in case anyone else wanted it.
Rodney… You Are Too Cool Dude!
you da man! 🙂
HELLOOOOO AUSTRALIAAAAA!!! Salutations from Los Angeles, CA. Enjoy Bella! This is a wonderful film. Take anyone and everyone you can! I am so thankful to these guys from Metanoia Films for joining the effort to restore the dignity of humanity. CIAO!
Barbara, strangely enough he does nothing for me in that sense. 🙂
Hello Marianne. The movie begins showing in Australian cinemas on the 21st of February. I think it’s showing at Cinema Paradiso in Northbridge.
Lolekfan, I’m certainly encouraging everyone I know to see the movie. I can’t wait to see what else these guys produce in the coming years.
Gib, as I’ve said before … “I love my job.”
What an amazing interview. He is a very intelligent person, and I’m glad to see that he is very commited to his beliefs and refuses to play roles that stereotype Latino people… I think more actors should follow his example. I haven’t seen the movie Bella, but I’m eager to watch it in the future.
Rita, I’m glad you enjoyed the interview. I’ve interviewed a lot of people over the years and Eduardo’s interview stands out as one of my very favourites.
His answers were thoughtful and considered and he truly believes in what he is doing. I wish I could speak to more people like that.
