I’ve been ‘on-air’ at Sonshine Fm for a couple of mornings so far and it’s great. In my 16 years of radio experience it’s been my first time doing talkback so it adds significant interest to the shift.
It was a busy shift this morning as we discussed the impact of sexual abuse with a clinical psychologist. We had a number of talkback callers wishing to discuss their own struggles and point towards a way forwards.
Thanks to those who have left comments about listening in over the last 2 days. It’s good to know I have some friends in the audience. It’s amazing to think that people like Clint and Joshua, who are on the other side of the world, are listening online. Thanks for your support.

Well done Rodney, you’ve all done very well … esp. for your first time doing talkback – must be tricky to relax and not worry about where the call will go and how you might have to handle it. Don’t do too well or they won’t let you leave !
