You've Got Mail

Royal Mail officials have apologised after about 200 people in an English village were left without mail for a week because a postman went on holiday.

About 90 houses in Comberton, near Cambridge, were left without deliveries in the past week because the absent postman’s round was not covered.

A Royal Mail spokeswoman said the problem was caused by human error because managers had forgotten to organise cover for the round.

I don’t know about you but I love receiving mail. Even though I mostly use email these days I still enjoy getting an envelope in the letter box. There’s something special about getting a letter that you can hold in your hand. I don’t know what I’d do if the mail stopped flowing for a whole week like that.

Mind you the people of Comberton were probably less than impressed to get a whole week of bills all in one hit.
