Come on in … the water's … brown

About 5 km from our place is the Swan Valley, a wonderful part of Western Australia with some great wineries, a cheese factory, chocolate factory, wonderful scenery and lots more.

As the name suggests, the Swan River runs through the area and as this article explains, there has recently been a sewage spill into the river.

I found it quite odd when the spill first occured that on TV report tried to get the across the scale of the spill by relating the number of average sized domestic swimming pools it would fill.

Now there’s a great image. Why on earth would you want to fill your swimming pool with raw sewage? I’m sorry but that would just be far too much work for our filter.
