Busy Blogging Week

What a busy blogging week this has been.

About a week or so back I made my 400th post to The Journey.

A couple of days ago this blog turned one.

If recent statistics hold up, sometime today I’ll reach 10 000 hits on The Journey.

Of course it’s all relative. While I’m quite chuffed that I’ll hit the big 10 000, I know that a lot of blogs would hit that before they even wake up each day. I’ve seen blogs that are receiving over 300 000 hits every day. That means that they get way more visits in an hour than I have received all year.

What all this means is that I’ve opted to reach a quality readership rather than going for quantity. By being a reader of The Journey you know that you’re part of a specialised, elite group.

Thank you for being part of an exceptional group of individuals.

  • You write about such a variety of things, that make yours posts so interesting, that’s what I love about your writing. I think 10,000 hits a year is great and pretty up there as far as readership goes. 🙂

  • Thanks Amelia.

I’ve got to say that you’re one of my favourite writers of all time, (and I’m not just talking bloggers) so I take that as a huge compliment.

Your ability to take your everyday situations and make them laugh out loud funny every time is amazing.

You have an incredible way with words.

  • You’ve got a great blog. I’m surprised that you don’t get more comments.
    Wohoo… 10 000 hits! I’m sure you’ll have no difficultly getting there.
