A 'new' TV

Someone gave us a television on the weekend. I don’t think it works and I’m not going to try it anyway.

Our council drops off 3 rubbish skips a year when we require them and we had one delivered late last week for use over the weekend. We had a couple of bits and pieces to toss in. The next door neighbours helped us throw in a heap of garden waste from our back yard.

The interesting thing was when we got home on Sunday afternoon, there was an old television on our front lawn next to the big bin. Some unknown neighbour has obviously spotted our bin and decided to help us fill it.

We looked inside the bin to find they’d already put a number of old cardboard boxes in there. As for the TV, it was fairly light but they must have decided that it was easier for us to throw it in than for them to make the effort. I have no problem helping out a neighbour but it would have been nice if they’d at least tossed it into the bin instead of just placing it next to it.
