Compassion Day

Thursday the 19th of May is Compassion Day right across Australia.

The Compassion Australia website explains the concept. Compassion Day is the one day a year when radio stations across Australia share with their listeners the work of Compassion and invite their audiences to sponsor children.

This year Compassion Day has the potential to be the largest media event in Compassion Australia’s history – with a national target of 500 children to be sponsored.

You can change the world it just takes Compassion and YOU!

During my morning radio programme I’ll be focussing on the need to save children from a life of poverty. Having recently been to India and seen children living in appalling slum conditions I know how much this kind of helping hand is needed.

Please decide today to sponsor a child in need or at least listen to 98.5 Sonshine FM tomorrow to become more informed on what can be done. You can listen on line if you’re out of our signal’s range.

You might like to link to this post to spread the effectiveness of the campaign. Your help could save lives. If you’re outside Australia you can sponsor a Compassion Child by going to their international website.

  • I was able to hear your radio program here in Minnesota–it was fun to hear how God is using Compassion to touch lives around the world.
We are sponsoring a sweet little girl, Cece, in Brazil. She sends us wonderful pictures and notes. We get such great joy for giving such a little bit.
BTW, it was fun to hear your voice on-air, too Rodney!
