Tap Dogs

Outstanding!

Pauline and I went to see the 10th Anniversary Show of Tap Dogs last night at Burswood Theatre. I’d heard bits and pieces about the show before but had no idea just how good it could be.

The show consists of 6 guys in work boots stomping on everything imaginable on stage. They tap dance on metal, wood, through water, up ramps and a whole lot more. I can understand if that description doesn’t thrill you but take it from me, this is an amazing event.

Their website says:

The show started with six guys from a steel town north of Sydney, Australia. Olivier Award-winning choreographer Dein Perry headed the team with designer/director Nigel Triffitt, and composer Andrew Wilkie and created TAP DOGS; an 80 minute reinvention of tap for the New Millenium.

While I can imagine some people thinking that this kind of show isn’t for them, I can’t imagine anyone coming away from the show having not enjoyed it. You might think it’s not your thing but after seeing the show you would change your mind for sure.

Words can not describe the experience. If Tap Dogs is showing near you – go see it. Do not delay. Buy your tickets NOW.
