Report time

There was a wonderful moment at our place this morning.

Both Emily and James brought home excellent school reports in the last couple of days. James has worked very hard to improve over the last term and has really come a long way. This is his second report for year one and while the last one was wonderful, this one is even better again.

This morning, while James and I were the only ones awake, he had a look at Emily’s report and then got very excited. He noticed how good his big sister’s report is and started saying things like, “Wow. How does she do it?” He was genuinely thrilled that Emily had done so well. He was so proud of her achievement that he was almost jumping out of his skin. That earned him an immediate hug from dad.

I just love seeing Emily and James being so excited, not only about what they’ve been able to do, but about each others’ achievements.

  • It’s so wonderful to read that your kids grew up to be proud of each other’s achievements and not envious of one another, esp in the current world where everyone wants to be the best..or rather..think he/she is the best 🙂 Praise God. 🙂 It reminds me of my own family and how we were when we were growing up 🙂
