Helping Niger

I’ll be buying some original, hand painted cards in the next couple of days. The cards are the work of Amanda who is using the cards as a way of raising money for SIM Niger Food Relief Project.

The latest information coming out of Niger tells us that while the U.N. World Food Program warned of a crisis more than six months ago, little was done and now over 3.6 million people are in desperate need of food.

Amanda, a Western Australian who has spent time working in Niger, had copies of her sketches printed and is now adding some water colours to each of the cards.

No matter where you are in the world you can use Paypal to purchase a pack or two or three from Amanda and be helping those who are suffering in Niger.

The picture in this post is just one of Amanda’s designs. She has several more displayed on her blog.

Please visit Amanda’s Musings and consider purchasing some cards. The need in Niger is urgent.
