Winter's still with us

It’s been another very cold morning. There was ice on the car windows. I wrapped up very warm before getting on my bike to pedal into work.

I can always tell when it’s a cold morning. Our cat, Gizmo, let’s us know by trying to get under the covers of the bed.

Most of the time she’s happy to sleep on top of the bed. When it gets a little cooler she sleeps on top of me or nestled up very close to me or Pauline. On really cold mornings she pushes her nose under the covers to make enough room to start burrowing right under.

I’ve woken up several times during this winter to find her under the covers down near our feet. I think I’d find that just a little too claustrophobic but it seems to work for her.

When I left for work she was still under the covers with her just head poking out. I’m sure she was trying to make me jealous.
