Hello old friend

Do you ever take the opportunity to let people close to you know how important they are in your life?

I do my best to let Pauline, Emily and James know how much they mean to me but it can be difficult to say the things you need to to other people at times.

I caught up with an old friend very briefly on Saturday morning. We were just heading into a cinema and so we didn’t have a chance to chat. I looked around as soon as the movie finished but couldn’t see her anywhere. We lost touch years ago and I don’t think she has any idea of how significant her friendship was during a very tough time in my life.

One simple action at a difficult time spoke more to me about friendship than any words could. I think about her act of friendship quite often but have never had the opportunity to talk to her about it.

Are there people who have left a lasting impression on your life? Maybe today would be a good opportunity to send a note, an email or make a phone call to them just to let them know.

  • Yes, I do remind those I love how special they are to me. I’m blessed to have some really special people in my life and I see that you are too!
