So close … and yet so far

I mentioned a few days back about the pillow fight happening in Perth this afternoon.

I really wanted to be there. I wanted to slam others with a pillow and make a scene, so we packed up the car with pillows and family and off we went. Emily, James and I were going into battle. Pauline was going to take pictures which I would then share with you.

Unfortunately we left home a little later than we had hoped and then caught every red light into the city. About a kilometre out from the city I told the kids we weren’t going to make it.

I swung the car into Roe street and headed under the railway overpass near where it would all happen. I looked up and saw someone pull out a pillow and start the skirmish.

If we had left home 5 minutes earlier we could have found a car park and been part of the fun.

Hopefully there’ll be other events and we’ll be there.

  • Rodney, Rodney, Rodney,
    :sigh:

us east coasters are so disappointed to find no photo evidence to go with the story

perhaps you have been in that radio studio too long – we don’t just want to hear about it, we want to see it, and we were counting on you being our eyes

    :bigger sigh:

kudos to the buzz crew for a clever bit of marketing to get people’s attention
