What day is it?

Are you keeping up with what day it is? It gets so confusing at this time of year doesn’t it?

Sunday was Christmas Day yet we had the public holiday for it on Monday. Boxing Day was Monday with a public holiday to celebrate yesterday, which was Tuesday. Even so, all the shops were open.

It’s back to work for many today with many others still on holiday. The days just seem to be all jumbled up. I know it’s Wednesday today but it kind of feels like a Monday even though I worked across the weeken and again yesterday.

Thankfully I worked out what day it was today in enough time to take advantage of the fact that it’s sprinkler day at our place. (We’re on water restrictions here in Perth and can only use our sprinklers twice a week.)

As long as I remember that tomorrow is Thursday I’ll remember to put the bins out. Of course with Sunday being New Year’s Day and Monday being another public holiday, we’ll start the whole process all over again next week.
