Celebrating Easter

How has the Easter break been for you? Have you managed to take time out from all the chocolate to reflect on the traditional meaning of the holiday?

I find that the Easter Sunday church service is always such a great celebration. Has Easter been a time of celebration for you this year?

I suppose that many of us make goals and resolutions on the first of January as we look ahead to a brand new year, but Easter Sunday is probably a much more suitable day for looking at life change.

While New Year’s Day offers us 365 days to try harder to become the person we want to be, Easter Sunday not only says that the future can be better but that the past no longer has to count against us. The things of the past aren’t just put aside, they’re put to death so that a brand new life can begin. I reckon that’s a great reason to celebrate.
