Open a little wider, please

Barbara from Ramble On has just posted her Thursday Thirteen and as part of that she states, “I would rather have a root canal than speak in public.”

I suppose I’m the opposite. Public speaking doesn’t bother me too much and I’d take it over a root canal any day.

How about you? Root canal or public speaking?

  • Yeah, I’ve never understood the fear of public speaking thing. It doesn’t worry me in the slightest. Dentists on the other hand……

  • I hate dentists! I used to hate public speaking, but now I quite enjoy it. I recommend Rostrum for those looking to overcome their fear of public speaking.

  • I would take public speaking over eating veggies, actually.

The wife? She’d take a root canal over talking to two people she didn’t know! Luckily, she has GREAT teeth! 😉

  • Public speaking for me, too. In fact, I’d rather speak in public than go to the dentist for anything. Why didn’t God make teeth to last for life?

  • Well, I generally have a pathalogical fear of any kind of public speaking, but usually it’s OK once I actually get up on stage and start. On the other hand, I had a tooth pulled out last year, and the pain didn’t actually stop when the operation started, so I think I’d prefer public speaking (albeit reluctantly at first).
