I need a real coffee

The guys that I regularly ride with on Saturday morning would have headed off a short while ago. Within the next couple of hours they will have cycled around 50 km and spent half an hour or so sitting around enjoying good coffee and good conversation. The weather today is absolutley perfect for cycling.

On the other hand, I’m at work. I’m on-air at 98.5 Sonshine FM for 6 hours from 6:00 a.m. until midday. I do the Saturday morning shift once every three weeks. Being on-air also means that I won’t be able to be with James for his second week at Auskick. It’s just as well that I love my job.

I did have my ride here this morning at around 5:30 a.m. so at least I’ve stretched my legs a little but I’ve got to say that the mug of instant coffee on my desk doesn’t quite make up for a decent long black with good friends. I’m already looking forward to our ride this time next Saturday.
