I got my real coffee

How was your weekend? Ours was certainly a busy one with lots of things to do and many places to be.

We spent some time yesterday afternoon in a park celebrating a birthday with family. There was a bit of a surprise when a guy from the nearby coffee shop wandered up and started taking orders.

While I’m sure that some shop owners would gaze across the road wishing that some of the dozens of park goers would make the trip to the shop, and still others might deliver vouchers inviting people in, this guy used some initiative and ran orders backwards and forwards across the road. He took the coffee to where it was needed rather than staying in the comfort of his shop. The coffee was in a take away container which was far more suitable for a park than a fancy coffee cup, but the coffee inside was the real deal. Mmmm. (I’m sure that many will see a lesson there that goes way beyond serving coffee.)

It was very nice to be able to sit under the trees in a park with family and friends sipping on a freshly brewed long black rather than drinking a lukewarm instant coffee from a thermos.
