He’s recently turned 28 but he has certainly crammed a lot into those 28 years.
While with the group Westlife, Brian McFadden sold more than 30 million albums and 7 million singles, had 12 number 1 singles in the UK charts and sold out arenas all over the world.
He’s since gone solo and as well as singing and performing, he’s written songs for a wide variety of people.
We’ve been hearing his song, Like Only A Woman Can, on the radio over recent weeks and he’s now released his new album, Set in Stone.
Brian McFadden joined me on my morning radio programme on 98.5 Sonshine FM today. We discussed everything from song writing to his love of the Collingwood Football Club.
He’s certainly come a long way from working as a security guard at McDonalds.

He was talking with Franny from Melbourne’s radio LightFM a couple of days ago. Was good to listen to their banter!
Oh don’t tell me I missed that!!!! Gosh, was he in Perth?
Oh booo hooooo!
Hey Kathie, I looked at LightFM’s website and found just a little bit about Franny. Sounds like an interesting character.
Unfortunately he wasn’t in Perth, Java. I interviewed him on the phone.
Of course you can still listen by clicking the play button on the audio player in this post.
Wow, I just read your comment on http://its-about-music.blogspot.com/2008/04/brian-mcfadden-set-in-stone.html and took 11 years to reply back, lol. I am amazed with your chats with McFadden.
