Wrapping up

We’re now starting to wrap things up here in India.

On Monday we had a tremendous trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. When you stand there in front of it it’s quite surreal. You have to pinch yourself to realise that this is the monument that you’ve seen on so many TV programmes and in so many books. It was a wet day and the marble was a little slippery under bare feet. We’ve got plenty of photos which I’ll put up as soon as I can after I return home.

Last night we had our farewell ceremony. It was pretty tough saying goodbye to many of the people that we will probably never meet again.

Today we have to finish all the last minute stuff like packing and getting ready to fly out.

We’ll have one night in Singapore as a time to debrief before getting back to Australia on Friday. It hink some of us will need that extra day more than others but it should be a good time as a buffer between the sensory overload here in India and getting back into the rush of life at home.

I may be able to post in Singapore but otherwise, I’ll catch you in Australia.
