Happy Birthday

It was Pauline’s birthday on Sunday. She’s finally caught up with me in age. We’ll stay the same age for the next nine and a half months.

We had a wonderful day. We visited a church in Kingsley to see my elderly aunty baptised. It was great to catch up with a few people from our extended family. We seem to catch up at funerals these days so it was nice to get together for a happy occasion.

After the service we lunched at McDonalds with a few Olsens before heading home for a few minutes and then out again to celebrate Pauline’s birthday with her side of the family. We had an afternoon tea at Wireless Hill Park.

The views from Wireless Hill are always spectacular and at the moment there is an abundance of Kangaroo Paws (as pictured) growing in the surrounding bush area.

We got Chinese for dinner at home followed by a healthy serve of birthday pavlova.

It was a fairly tiring day but a very satisfying sleep at the end of it.
