I feel surprisingly good this morning.
After not having played squash for over 5 years I stepped onto the court last night and blasted away for an hour.
I expected to be very sore and walking like a very old man today. After we played I did feel a few twinges but I’ve woken up feeling pretty good. There are a few muscles that feel a little different but no great soreness. Pauline says I should wait until tonight for the final verdict on how well I’ve pulled up.
As for the contest itself, I was playing against Mic. I’d never met Mic before but he hadn’t been on the court for a while either. We both managed to huff and puff, work up a sweat and run around a fair bit. I don’t know yet how Mic’s feeling this morning.
We had a few close games and a few walk overs. Mic took the honours with 6 wins over my 3. I was just happy to get a win at all. Winning is a wonderful incentive but what I really wanted was to be run around the court a lot and we seemed to achieve that. Mind you, next week I intend evening up the scores a bit.

WOW i think it’s time for me to get back to some forms of exercise too! Sport does make us feel alive doesn’t it?
I’ve just tagged you, Rodney. I’m sure you won’t have any trouble with this one at all. 🙂
I’m going to tell my husband to read your blog since he’s a big squash guy.
Barely walking 🙂 Sore back, legs, arm, shoulder, etc 🙂 And I had to walk around Langley Park yesterday carrying the tripod for our camo as we shot vision of Rally Australia.
Langley Park is a big place 🙂
