A wonderful Sunday evening

After a very hot day yesterday, the perfect place to be was on the lawns of the Cottesloe Civic Centre. We were there for an evening picnic and to see local entertainer Tod Johnston and his band, Peace, Love and All That Stuff perform a free, family, twilight concert.

We watched the sun plunge into the Indian Ocean as the band played a range of music that kept everyone entertained. They have an amazingly diverse repertoire and it’s always great to see performers who are so obviously enjoying themselves. Their enjoyment of performing was infectious and they had everyone from toddlers to their grandparents up and moving.

It was an extra special evening because friends of ours have just moved back to Perth from Darwin. We enjoyed catching up with them and our kids had a wonderful time renewing friendships with their kids.

Emily and James had spent Saturday night and most of Sunday with Pauline’s parents so they were there too to ‘deliver’ the kids and enjoy the evening with us.

Good friends, great venue excellent entertainment. What more could you ask for?
